A little bit of this and that

Very honestly, I don't even know where to begin. The thought of boring my dwindling audience did come to me, but I have pushed it aside.

Have I become overly busy? No! I still work for the same duration. I am paid more, I eat more, fret more and stress even more. Do I need all that "more"? Honestly I can do without the fretting and stressing, sadness and depression. I don't need any more of that. Who does! But being a positive person, I've come to realize, takes a lot of doing. Realistically put, you can't be  positive 24*7. But the ratio of positive to negative is what you've got to work on. So that its always a positive figure and never in fractions. That takes some doing. Negative thinking has such a snowball effect. One negative thought attracts another and before you know it you've plummeted into a bottomless pit of despair. Everything seems hopeless, when in reality it isn't. It could ALWAYS get worse.

It's said that when you ask for something from all your heart and your intentions do someone other than yourself some good, and you want it bad enough, the entire cosmos conspires to give it to you. If you want to meet someone who is a living testimony of this, say Hello to me!

What you ask isn't given to you instantly though. At times it requires patience and time. And within that period if you start to despair and begin to think that your wish will never be granted- Poof! It won't be granted. Faith and conviction come into play there.

Alright. Do you need to hear that? No! Don't you already know all this? Of course you do! And what prompted me into going the similar route one more time? A reflection. That just when everything seems to be going well and you're happy again comes a brand new roadblock. God hates monotony, just like us humans maybe!

You can either sit and admire the roadblock for hours and days and weeks. And wish that it'd disappear when you reopen your eyes. Or you can put on your smile and your thinking hat and prance around the roadblock. Easier said that done. But worth a try. If it works once, you'll be prompted to try it again. And again. So for one tiny problem of your day-whatever it might be, however small it might be. Try being positive. Catch your negative thinking and nip it in the bud. Think of solutions. Have a little more faith in yourself. Believe that whatever you have asked for is on the way. Just looking for parking :)

I don't believe the cosmos delivers because one wishes for or wants something badly.

Being an optomistic person affects ones decision making and those choices made with a positive attitude leaves one in the frame of mind, that they did the best they could. Positive thinking helps one make the 'right' decisions and icreases the possibility of achieving their goals or wants.

A negative attitude just sets one for regrets and full of what if's...making it hard to move on from disappointments.

Better to think positive, strive for what one wants, accept what is at the moment, place no fault or blame and have faith. Life is what we make it...moment by moment!

Your posts are never boring, Stillness, I would even enjoy reading about your meals or the books you read! Have a good week!

Hello my dear young friend, your post today is very deep.
My beliefs are quite similar to Wanda's but I do think one can guide themself in a certain direction if that is all they focus on. I strongly believe in being positive, a kind heart, bright smile and a big belly laugh will keep your spirits up every time.
(okay so I just wanted to lighten up your post, far to serious for one so young)

Be well....:-)Hugs

Hey, it is so good to read you as always, I had been wondering and waiting for your next post.. As for what you wrote, I can absolutely relate to every single word posted but what I like about your writing is that you leave it on a positive note.. So it is always a pleasure.

But here I need to say one more thing.. Thank you a heartfelt one.. for the wonderful words you left for me. At this point of my life this much needed positive thoughts by a friend (I see you as one) is ever so welcome.. And as for the so called unsolicited advice you left for me, I was so very touched by your words that a mere thank you is perhaps not enough..But nonetheless thank you, thank you indeed...

Hi Stillness...
I need a good dose of 'patience'....and as the saying goes, "I need it NOW." :)))
I love the attitudes that you share with us....and especially the part about smiling. It is always good to hear from you...to be here and read your blog...your thoughts. What wisdom you have...
Love,
Jackie

Hi Stillness,
I agree to some extent with Wanda and Bernie except for one thing. Some of us are natural worriers. And THAT can be hard to control on our own. On this I speak from much experience! I am trying to find exercises to help combat this. Maybe you should too.

I've ALWAYS been a positive person but if you are a worrier, it can take over your life. So perhaps investigating some different strategies to deal with this would help. Lets pray!!

I am glad to see you back no matter what! Love Di ♥

Tranquility,

Before I say anything else, let me say BELATED MANY MANY HAPPY RETURNS OF THE DAY. MAY YOU HAVE A JOYFUL, HEALTHY, SUCCESSFUL, HAPPY, FUNFUL AND PEACEFUL LIFE. MAY ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. I had been absent for sometime as you must be knowing. It is absolutely true that if you let even a wee bit of negative thought enter your mind it will snowball in no time. I agree it is easier said than done to keep positive approach but one needs to keep trying. Faith in God as well as yourself as you are God's creation is a must for happiness.

Take care

PS : Wish I could send a belated e card!
