Solitary walk

Life has this habit of constantly throwing surprises at you. Just when you thought you had it all sorted and planned out, it brings forth something even better than what you had envisaged. That is why they tell you to be optimistic and never loose faith. For every person who was bad to you, misunderstood you, left you and hurt you, there are ten other people waiting with open arms to take you into their fold. There is no dearth of love and this world is still a great place, despite what’s happening to it. There is still a lot of hope.

There are people who will always stand up for you despite you being jobless, faithless and at times even hopeless ;-) Of course that would trick you into believing that they will be around forever. Another apparition. Because nothing is constant and nothing remains forever. I strongly believe that everyone who you have ever come in contact with and everyone you will come in contact with, has something to teach you. Some teach you patience and perseverance while others teach you all about love and faith. And some just by being what they are, inspire you to do things you never thought yourself capable of doing. To be who you are meant to be.

We get attached to people who are on the same wavelength as us and it is with people like these that it becomes a tad too hard to let go. Life is really short to hold a grudge. We are all growing and learning and things will happen that don’t fit into our scheme of things, but there is always a reason why they don’t. But to hold it against someone so much so that you mentally decide never to have anything to do with them anymore will only stifle you. Forgiveness stems from a whole lot of love. Some people get this and some don’t. Everyone has their perspective and no matter how hard you try you can never convince everyone what a hell of a nice person you are. Not the childhood friend who has turned her back towards you for something trivial that you did (or didn’t). Not the little girl who visited us for Diwali and left angrily because I didn’t have a chocolate in the house to give her :-) They sum it up best when they say

“Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right and forget about the one’s who don’t.
And believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said it would be easy.
They just promised that it would be worth it.”
